I have been involved in photography since age 13. At 15 years of age I was too young to drive, but I persuaded an “older” friend who possessed a driver’s license, and car, to attend an evening college photography course with me. Thus began a life influenced by photography. I graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Industrial Design. I have spent the majority of my career in design, engineering, corporate training and marketing at both BFGoodrich and then American Honda. I escaped the corporate world after “too many years” and moved to Bend, Oregon where I have had the good fortune of finally pursuing a career that is also a passion. In addition to photography I write, play outdoors and share my life with my wife, Susan and 2 very spoiled dogs. I am also president of the Cascade Camera Club and I teach digital photography and Photoshop through the Central Oregon Community College continuing education series. I prefer not to be identified by a photographic specialty. I’m a visual communications problem solver. Subject matter is secondary. My work has been published in numerous magazines including Time, Dog World, Dog Fancy, Bend Living and Cascade East. I provide commercial services and portrait work to a number of select local clients and my award winning fine art photographs have been part of several exhibitions. |
